Fun in the Backyard

We played in the backyard on Sunday and Millie wore herself out. She was crawling all over the backyard. She especially loved crawling up the steps to my studio and had scratches all over her little legs as a result. She really likes to pick up the leaves and put them in her mouth
(surprise, surprise!) and the grass too.

Jacade placed her on all the logs in the backyard while I took some pictures of her.

We are still trying to decide what to do for her 1st birthday. I almost want to not have a big party b/c she won't have a clue anyways. But we haven't completely decided though.
Stay tuned for the details.

New mini-website

I've also created a new mini-website (just to get my feet wet) for my photography and greeting cards. I'd appreciate any feedback.

The address is: http://rebecca.ddesigns.googlepages.com

1 year birthday coming up soon

I can't believe that Millie is about to turn one years old. I feel like just yesterday that I was pregnant (but I don't miss having to use the bathroom all the time, or the swollen feet). Other than that, it was a great pregnancy and she has been a great baby. It has been a fun time. I couldn't imagine how you could love someone so much and then the next day, love them that much more.

I've learned a lot about being a mother and I feel proud of my progress. No one can prepare you for what's ahead, until you experience it for yourself. But I don't regret it for one second. Sometimes I just stand in Millie's room while she is sleeping and just watch her sleep. I've been tempted just to wake her up so I can hold and cuddle with her just one more time (but I don't - I wait til the morning!)

She is really growing up so fast and she is so smart and such a happy baby. We went to the zoo recently and despite missing her nap, she was an angel - never cried one time. She just amazes me everyday.

Millie's new summer outfit

Here are some new pictures of Millie taken at Nana and Papa's house. She just got this new outfit from Aunt Paula and it is just perfect. It fits great too - it's an 18-month size and I can't believe she is wearing that size and is not even a year old yet. But, as I have found out, the sizes of baby clothes varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, which makes it hard to plan. Because she is still wearing some 9-mo. size clothes as well as 12 mo. size too. And aren't those little tennis shoes so adorable - thanks Nana!

Photography cards

Here are a
few of my new cards
featuring my photography...

Millie's first trip to the zoo

Here are a few pictures of our recent trip to the zoo. Millie was really good - never cried one time, despite not having her normal nap during the day. She liked the goats - that's about the only animal she really noticed, and she loved the carousel!
