My new favorite picture
Millie and her daddy were feeding the fish last Friday when I captured my new favorite picture of Millie. She looks so grown up (can't believe she will be 4 years old in a couple of months). She is now wearing 4T clothes and size 10-11 shoes.

A visit from Mops and Pops
A little while ago, Mops and Pops came through Griffin on their way home and hung out with us for a couple of hours for my birthday. We had lunch and put together a dinosaur puzzle with Millie and then played Princess Dominoes with Millie. It was a quick trip but still fun.

Just thinking about how much she's grown
I love to ask her different questions to hear the response. She has such a big imagination, and just thinks of ideas off the cuff. And she is also very thoughtful. Every time we go to a public restroom, after she has washed and dried her hands, she always wants to get the paper towels ready for the next person. Of course, children practice what they see (and trust me, I'm not bragging, but I do like to do that too).
Some of her favorite foods right now are peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, black beans (she has loved those since she was a baby), fruit (which I'm learning is rare for some kids), Kashi breakfast bars, chocolate milk, cereal, oatmeal (dry and cooked), hard-boiled eggs, juice and water (yes, she still gets it diluted because she asks for it like that).
Here are two pictures of Millie in her school uniform....one when she started Rock Springs Christian Academy in January, 2010 and the other on her 2nd day of school.
Grown a lot, in more ways than one....

Happy 3rd birthday to Millie!
Millie turned 3 years old on Friday, May 7, 2010. I took the day off from work so we could all
spend some time together. We started the day off by going to Waffle House to have breakfast. The sweet waitress gave Millie a free Mickey Mouse waffle for her birthday.
We then took her to the babysitter's house because they were going to throw a little party for her. After her nap, we picked her up and drove to the nail salon and all had pedicures and manicures. The nice lady there painted her toes and fingernails her favorite color - PINK - and put a little flower design on her big toes.
After we finished there, we went home and had Millie's birthday dinner. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she said, "A peanut butter and jelly." That is her favorite food right now. So, that's what I fixed, stuck some candles in there, and we sang Happy Birthday!

And the final event of the day was a game of bowling! She had never been bowling before so we surprised her with a game. She liked it a little bit although having to take turns was a little tough (and important lesson in life, I know), but she made it through. Then she and daddy played Skee Ball one time.

All in all, I think she had a great, well-rounded birthday. We are still going to have a small birthday party for her and take her to Leapin' Lizards.

My little cook
Millie loves to help me do anything in the kitchen, like baking cookies and muffins, or helping me cook dinner.
For Christmas, Aunt Lexi surprised Millie with her own apron. So now she can cook in the kitchen and not mess up her clothes!

One of Millie's new dresses
For Christmas, Mops and Pops bought Millie two new dresses/outfits and they are so adorable. Here is one of them and I think Millie looks so grown up.

This is one of the dresses that Millie wore for the Christmas season this year. And unfortunately, this is the only picture that I took.

Trip to Savannah
I am backtracking a little because I am behind with posts and updates.
Back in November, Uncle Eldon and Aunt Rita treated us, as well as some other family members, to Savannah for Jacade's birthday. We had a great time, ate at Jacade's favorite restaurant - The Crab Shack, and went to the beach at Tybee Island. Millie had a great time playing with her cousin, Sara, and we even were able to sneak in a few minutes to visit with our friends, Kevin and Cassie.
Here are some photos from that trip.
