Giant Jumping Pillow Fun!

4th birthday party pics

Millie's 4th Birthday Party

For Millie's 4th birthday, we held it at Southern Belle Farm in McDonough. The kids were able to feed the farm animals, pick strawberries, eat strawberry-themed cupcakes and jump on the giant jumping pillow. Millie had 9 children show up - Autumn, Sara, Will, Colin, Hannah Shae, Jackson, Abigayle, Sydney and Natalie. They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves by picking lots of juicy, sweet strawberries and jumping their hearts out. The consensus from a few parents were passed out children on the way home!

Happy Birthday to You!

Happy 4th Birthday Millie

I am just in awe that our little Millie is not little anymore. She just turned 4 years old and is a bright and bubbly child. Some of her favorite foods still include boiled eggs, black beans, just about any kind of fruit and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She enjoys looking at books and having books read to her. She can just about write the entire alphabet and already has her name down pat. She learns quickly and doesn't forget much. She has really grown into a nice little lady. She has spirit and spunkiness, while still being sweet (most of the time!). I am glad that God chose us to be her parents!

Happy Birthday Millie - it's been 4 great years with you!

will post more birthday photos and a video too! Plus, I still have to share pictures of her birthday party too!

Princess Cupcakes

For Millie's birthday party at school this year, I let her pick out Princess cupcakes. They turned out so well, thanks to Publix, and she said that everyone enjoyed themselves very much.

Build-A-Bear visit

The pictures are really in reverse order but you can put two and two together. We took Millie to her first visit of a Build-A-Bear, the day before her birthday. I actually had a gift card that she had received when she was born (I know, I am a little late).

She picked out a gray kitty, and went through the whole process. She even picked a meow sound for its foot and picked out an outfit for it. At the end you have to name your pet, and the first name she chose was Laney.

So, I present to you....Millie and her kitty, Laney.

Strawberry Pickin'

On April 30, Millie and I drove out to Southern Belle Farm in McDonough to check the place out. This farm was where we were going to have Millie's 4th birthday party, so I thought it would probably be a good idea to visit first.

We had a lot of fun: we picked strawberries and checked out the farm animals. It is a really nice place there - very kid friendly.

A Visit with Mimi and PaPaw

In April, we drove up to visit with Mimi and PaPaw in north GA. But PaPaw wasn't feeling well, so he had to spend the entire weekend at the hospital. We stayed with him all day with the exception of going to lunch. Millie entertained herself very well in a small hospital room and never once complained. So we treated her to a ride on the carousel in downtown Chattanooga!

Easter 2011

Here's just a snapshot of Millie and her Easter basket this year. I have never really made a big deal about Easter baskets until this year, and she just got a few things from the Easter bunny this year. She thought it was fun, and that's all that matters.

Easter Egg Hunt at school

I was able to attend Millie's Easter Egg Hunt at school in April. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves very much and they were all able to collect lots and lots of filled eggs. They even made their own Easter baskets!

Fun at UGA Research Garden (in April)

I took Millie and her friend, Jacqueline (who is one of Jacade's friend's daughter) to Monkey Joe's in Fayetteville for an afternoon of fun, while the boys worked on taking some trees down in our yard. On our way home, we stopped by the UGA Research Garden in Griffin, and explored the grounds. The girls found lots of fun things to look at and I had some great photo opportunities.
